Welcome, welcome back to myself on our brand new web!
Just had to do that, as I realised that we’ve been gathering information, opening restaurants, starting studs, learning of blogs, had winter in summer, changing menu’s, fighting mother nature and lots of other stuff. All of that and more in the last two months since I wrote a newsletter.

Bella Vista kom kuier by Misverstand!

En het die klomp Golden Oldies dit nou geniet. Die bus rit was blykbaar ‘n adrenalien rush op sy eie.
Ons pad was so klein bietjie in sy kanon na al die reën maar hulle het darem veilig hier by ons geland.
Sommer met die intrapslag is daar klomp vrae gevra en baie van – “Onthou jy my nog – ek was laaste keer ook hier maar nou lyk die tuin mooi!”
Johanna’s Favourite begin met die koffie en biltong wat bedien word en ons kon die heimwee van die verlede sien terugkruip in hul oë. Read the rest here »

Skippers - Take Note!
Hi-ho Skippers,
We received and still receive lots of calls regarding skipper licenses & buoyancy. I know that you are getting fed-up with not knowing when exactly this all is taking effect.
We “got the t-shirt” for trying to organize courses for skippers. You can call SAMSA for skippers courses.
Buoyancy contractors there is also millions now in Cape Town. Each one charging a different rate & I have no idea which one to recommend to you. Read the rest here »

Hyasinth
After lots of warnings from worried guests and numerous attempts to contact Water Affairs we got down to basics.
Most of you must have noticed the water hyacinth that is slowly but surely trying to take over our beautiful skiing water. It’s all lovely & green & green & green.
Soos my ma sê: “TE veel van ‘n goeie ding is sleg” en dis nou wragtig waar.
DWAF het drie manne gestuur om bietjie van die groen te kom spuit maar hulle is na twee dae met rubber duck en al hier weg – seker die hitte wat hulle so bietjie gevang het. Read the rest here »
