Koel Koel sit en Smul!
Kobus bly almal pas in!
Ons was geseënd met ‘n wonderlike somersdag vir die spesiale geleentheid. ‘n Hele 220 mense later – het omtrent vir Kobus & Mandy hoofpyne verskaf met die dat ons almal wou gemaklik sit.
Halfdag later het hulle darem die tafels uitgesit gekry en ook nog die laat besprekings voor sitplek gekry. Met diè harde werk agter die rug het ons begin met die dek. Terwyl ons messe en glase goed rond dra, opvryf en uitpak het Kobus en oom Kiewiet vir onstpanning vir ons die naamkaartjies uitgeknip.
Dit was die eerste keer dat ons die ete bietjie uitgerek het sodat ‘n man bietjie kan sit en gesels met sy gesin. Nie net lyf aasvoël hou – eet en loop nie. Dan is ‘n mens ook so versadig dat jy glad nie eers by die poedingtafel kan kom nie.

Ons beplan ‘n Miskar kompetisie einde April.
Die fisiese kompetisie sal eers die Maandag gehou word. Verskeie kategorieë
Bietjie ghries hier ...
sal beoordeel word maar daarvan sal ons julle nog later baie mooi vertel.
Die naweek gaan bestaan uit bou & karretjies aanmekaar spyker – toetslopies & dryflopies? Sondag rus almal en Maandag namiddag so teen 3 uur se kant gaan die sports begin.
Ons gaan lekker pryse soek en enigiemand wat kontakte het in die verband of idees kan my ter enige tyd kontak.
So trek solank julle planne op – die belangrikste om te onthou is die volgende: Jy moet hom kan optel, jy moet hom kan ry en hy sal moet dryf!
Die oorsprong van die idee het gekom van die kiekies wat Rob vir my deurgegee het om saam met die Desember pret te publiseer – so hier is ‘n paar ……..

A Pic = 1000 Words!
The party was a huge success. I think we could have made the Shot bar a little bit bigger as it got huge support and at times the guys did not move away from the counter. A big thank you to all my helpers – without you guys we would not have coped. And of course to each and everyone of YOU – if you were not there we would not have had a party.

What a BLAST!
Exchanging recipies!
The Oldies rocked up first to check if fires was burning & set-up their sites. The Newies just had to take what was left, struggle to start fires as blitz was confiscated by other sites. But you have to learn at some stage and next year you might remember to start packing earlier for this lekka event.
Don’t worry guys – they did get more blitz from Kobus – ever so helpful he ran to assist those in need with little pieces of blitz smaller than a match sticks head.
The Newies was not impressed until I showed them how it gets done. They were quit amazed & suddenly the faces lit up, as well as their fires. What started off as a boring night for them suddenly turned into loads of sports.

Guess who stopped at Misverstand!
Father having a word or two!
Father Christmas. Every year we call for Santa to stop by us. Every body get together on the Veranda, the kids obviously itching since they know the ritual.
The preacher said a couple of nice words about the festive season just to remind us all why we are getting together. After some carrols Boetie se Kombuis served baskets that everyone ordered before the time. And then the big wait began with little heads doing 360’s to check which way Father will be coming this year.
