Q:  “What happen when you are too friendly with your cow?”

Bella decided to take a walk all the way up the road to Spitskop to go visit some friends.  Mandy got a call that there is a black & white cow thingy walking away from the resort.  All excited she jumped in her bakkie and took off.  She found Bella at Spitskop, turned the bakkie around and thought – “I’ll just drive behind her so she walks back”

Bella stood ground and put Mandy back on her feet.  She refused to walk in front of the bakkie and waited for Mandy to get out.  All excited the two of them went for a little walk all the way back to her little villa down by the dam.

A: “If your friends are as big as cows – you need a bigger bakkie! Or walk!”

Tannie Nellie & Ouma Meyer het sommer altwee besluit om by ons te kom eet vir hulle verjaarsdae.  Die oues van dae het ‘n heerlike sonnige daggie geniet met baie bederfies van die gaste.

Vir Tannie Nellie het ons ‘n skelm kersie opgesit wat elke keer as jy dit blaas dan brand dit weer – die tannie kon dit glad nie glo dat sy toe so baie moet blaas op haar ouderdom nie.

Nog ‘n skaapkop aand het gekom & gegaan – die keer met ‘n verskil want die volgende oggend kon mens voel die pannekoek was definatief by die verkeerde stalletjie afgehaal.

Met die afval op die tafel en die skaapkoppe wat uitgedra word vir die honger manne het die helfde van ons gaste ons verlaat.  Hulle het wel belowe sodra die beendere weggesit was dat hulle weer sal terugkom vir die pannekoeke.

And it was wrestling, and wrestling it was.  I do not think that halve of the people attending had ever been to a wrestling match other than sitting in front of their tv.

At first we could not keep the people out of the hall on the Friday evening as everyone wanted to see the ring.  The youngsters all tried out the wring and the big boys checked the carpet out.  Just to see how much is real and how soft the landing would be.
