Father having a word or two!

Father Christmas. Every year we call for Santa to stop by us.  Every body get together on the Veranda, the kids obviously itching since they know the ritual.

The preacher said a couple of nice words about the festive season just to remind us all why we are getting together.  After some carrols Boetie se Kombuis served baskets that everyone ordered before the time.  And then the big wait began with little heads doing 360’s to check which way Father will be coming this year.

With everyone in a festive mood Father appears through the sliding doors and kids go bananas!  Father almost did not get time to sit in his special chair as the whirlwind of kids attacked him.  But he was a patient Father and he made them all sat down in front of him, had a little chat before handing out the presents.  Chaos erupted as paper was torn off and presents started jumping and talking.

We bid the crowd farewell as they slowly made their way to their sites. A good night was had by all and we hope that Father Christmas also had a nice time that he will return to us this year.
