Feetjieland!

Hopefully you did not forget Mothers day – 9^th of May.  What a lekka fairy occasion and not one single person was in a rush.  That’s what I like.  You already booked so not to cook, so why just come, sit down, chow and go away.  Spend some time with those you love – sit, relax, enjoy your surroundings and slowly let the flavours of food & wine sink.

Met ‘n saal vol mense, rustige mense, het ons ‘n fantasmogoriese daggie geniet.  Almal het dit rustig gevat en niemand was haastig huis toe nie.  Ma het tot vir Lettie aangemaan om nie so vinnig vir die poeding tafel te vra nie want die gaste skep …….

nog so hier en daar ‘n proeseltjie! Dit lyk my die feetjies het hulle werk goed gedoen om almal te laat relax.

And with the new table arrangements (we’re still learning) it worked out perfectly.  Those who still wanted to nibble at starters could while the rest started on the mains.

By the time the desert was out we still had some starters left to nibble on – just in case someone wanted – “just another little bite” of something.

En om alles te kroon het ek ‘n nuwe fotograaf ontdek.  Wat ‘n fotograaf is dit nou nie – hy beneem alles van begin tot einde.  Hy noem homself die “Before & After” photographer.  Starting with empty kitchen to full kitchen, empty platters to full platters.  Sometimes we have to spoon him out of the way as we don’t get to do the After while he is still doing the Before but we managed in the end.

As jy nou spyt is dat jy Moedersdag gemis het – Vadersdag is om die draai – so onthou om te boek – ons saal is net so groot!
